Trusted Readers (and their roles)

 As I was reading about readers today in an article by Sheila Heti on the Importance of Finding Trusted Readers, I was struck by how differently we all create our work. Heti reports that at least 40 people read drafts of her books pre-publication. 40! She cites this conservation as integral to her work. Others write for an audience of one. Where do you fall on the trusted reader spectrum?
