Enter Tyla

As Josh approached his home, depressingly slouched and staggered with his clothes and candy bag still soaked from the egg yolk, a dark energy suddenly emerged around the house. Streetlights flickered and twitched more as the energy grew bigger and darker and Josh feels a breathtaking chill crawling through his spine and ribcage, heart pounding like crazy.

Suddenly, Josh froze as the lights shocked and shut down, and he looked around to see the crowd of trick-or-treaters around the parkway frozen in place.

“Josh.” said an ominous voice from the shadows.

Josh looked up as the lights lit back up and saw a mysterious figure standing on top of his roof. It was a tall, gloomy woman in a drabby gothic outfit with a dark vampire garb and long jet-black hair, and bloody fangs poking out of her smooth, black lips. Josh stood paralyzed at the sight of her, jaw gaping wide.

“W-W-What’s going on? Who are you?” He stuttered.

“I am the answer to, all your problems.” the vampire replied. “The cure for all your pain and despair.”

The vampire then held her spiky cape open as she jumped from the roof and slowly floated down in Josh’s direction, landing right in front of his driveway and causing Josh to collapse in startlement. “You can call me, Tyla.”

Josh wanted to scream, but Tyla put her pale-skinned palm over his mouth and gave a slight “Shhhhhhh.”

Tyla’s monologue, Josh’s superstition

Please,” Josh begged, stumbling in tears. “Please don’t hurt me.

“Don’t cry, Josh.” Tyla said, wiping his eyes with her sharp, black fingernail. I am not here to cause harm to you. Like I said before, I am here to end your suffering. It will all be over, not just with Peter Ryan, but all your issues. And thanks to my brother Nol, they'll stay over.

“All you need to do is lie perfectly still.” She said as she planted his trembling body flat on the ground of his driveway. She then places her places her pale hands on his head and straightens out the side of his neck. “A little bite is all it takes.

“What!” Josh exclaimed.

But before Josh could completely react, Tyla lunges her mouth down and digs her fangs right in the side of his neck, puncturing the skin. Josh’s screams of terror were muffled by Tyla’s palm pressing on his lips. ...

A red energy comes out of Josh and is sucked into Tyla, and the egg yolk disappears. [elaborate]

Josh wakes up on his driveway with Tyla gone and no memory of the painful event with Peter Ryan. [elaborate]

Tyla sucks the pain out of Josh.

Out in the distance, a loud bag and crash shook the neighborhood to its core, all except Tyla, who just stands unbothered.

A little bit later, a police car pulls up in front of the crowd.

“Attention!” yelled the police through the megaphone, “There’s been report of an animal attack! Four victims, including a kid named Peter Ryan, are confirmed dead! Everyone, return to your homes immediately! Trick-or-Treating is cancelled! I repeat, return to your homes immediately.

The whole public scatters and rushes panicking to return to their homes, costumes and candy bags shaking and screams of terror surrounding the neighborhood.

The only one who remained calm was Tyla, who stood amongst the crowd with a slight smirk.

Suddenly off at the edge of the woods, Tyla spots a dark wolf lurking in the shadows. She floats off over the neighborhood and lands upon the plains in front of the wolf’s path.

The wolf had blackened fur all around its body, red glowing eyes, ripped black leather pants, and a big mouth wet with drool and blood. He pounced as he approached Tyla and lay still in her space.

“Hello, Nol.” Tyla said to the wolf with a slightly bigger smirk.

With a flick of her hand, clouds draw in and cover the bright full moon, and the fur of the dark wolf fades away to skin, revealing the werewolf, Nol.

“I heard the news about Peter Ryan and his little stooges.” Tyla continued.

“Indeed,” Nol replied, licking the blood around his lips. “Impure blood is the richest.
